Criticizing you rumor-mongerers!

The rumors have been in the saturated Ocean Shores air for the last couple weeks. “I heard the editor blew out of town!”  “I heard his house is for sale!” “I heard the Daily World kicked him to the curb!”

I am so disappointed in you rumor-spreaders.

Seriously, what took you so long?

  2. Gary Iversen says:

    Well, warm weather ….

  3. Hopefully not a Freudian slip . . . Dare ye submit photos to “the outlaw blogger”?

  4. Don Williams says:

Tom: We’ll miss you, your great writing, local coverage, bright colors, photography, humor and investigative abilities. Arizona is not that far from Atlantis City. So, please keep an address in Ocean Shores so you can run for a City Council position next Fall. Remember, there’s no requiremet to live in Ocean Shores to be a City employee. Don Williams

And here I just bought a new chain saw. Who can I now find to burn up all that wood? Can you send me your new dial tone?

  6. Michelle Plumb says:

    Tom,
I moved to town three years ago and fell in love with you thought provoking articles. I loved that they stirred up so many emotions, which got me to think about the issue from multiple points of views. The paper will never be the same without you. You are a true journalist. The best is yet to come.

  7. Lorraine Thacker says:

I wondered as soon as I saw your house listed, then I waited….and waited. When my renewal notice for the paper came, I said to my husband, lets buy it locally and see what is going on. Now I know and it makes me sad. I loved that you stirred the pot, it made us all think. It was the best way to stir conversation and share different points of view. Sorry to see you go. It was probably the last newspaper subscription I will ever have, since they are dieing out like a dodo bird.

  8. Greg Schultz says:

Well this just sucks! Who now is going to ask the tough questions of our elected and employed officials, and nag them “publicly” until they respond? Arizona has plenty of journalists; not so Atlantis City. About the time the Mariners finish Spring training you should find yourselves warm and dry enough to return for another several year stretch! Best wishes, and best of luck.

  9. Carol schultz says:

Best of luck, Tom, but dang it! This week’s paper just sucked!

  10. We will miss you Tom. Best of luck in your new locale. The city will miss your reporting for sure since no one was willing to ask the tough questions that you did. BE healthy Tom.
Wood ? Did someone say wood?

  11. sheltered2 says:

Not as warm there this week as you thought! Careful! They will blame you for making AZ cold!
